The picture above shows the distribution of earthquakes, volcanoes and young fold mountains. For the exam you could be asked to describe and expain the distribution of the aforementioned tectonic hazards. There are generally all found on or near plate boundaries. This is because plate boundaries are the most active areas of the Earth's surface.
